Babu Builders And Developers is a house design and construction consultancy in Pokhara, Gandaki Province, Nepal. We run this website at https://babubuilders.com.np/ and we are responsible for the information you send us through it.

When you use the contact form we ask for:

• •Your name (required)
• •Your phone or WhatsApp number (required)
• •A message about your project (required)
• •Your email address (optional)
• •The service you are interested in (optional)

If you call, message or email us directly, we also receive whatever you choose to tell us there. Please do not put bank details or ID numbers in the form.

When you send the contact form we briefly keep a scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address so we can limit spam. It cannot be turned back into your real address and is deleted after about an hour.

Our hosting provider also keeps ordinary server logs, such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to keep the site secure and running.

We do not set cookies on visitors’ browsers, and we do not use analytics, advertising or tracking tools. Only our own staff receive a sign-in cookie, and only when they log in to the admin area. Our fonts are served from this website, not from Google.

A few things on the site connect to other companies:

• •Google Maps appears on the home and contact pages. When the map loads, Google receives your IP address and may set cookies, under Google’s privacy policy.
• •WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram and TikTok links only share data if you click them, and then under each company’s own policy.

• •To reply to your enquiry by phone, WhatsApp or email.
• •To prepare the quotation or advice you asked for.
• •To keep a record of enquiries so our team can follow up.
• •To prevent spam and keep the website secure.
• •To meet legal duties, where they apply.

We do not sell your information and we do not use it for advertising.

Our team members who handle enquiries can see them. We also use companies that help us run the website, and each receives only what it needs:

• •Our hosting provider, which serves the website and keeps server logs.
• •MongoDB Atlas, the database where enquiries are stored.
• •Gmail (Google), which delivers your enquiry to our inbox.
• •Cloudinary, which stores photos our staff upload to the website. It does not receive your enquiry.

We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect our legal rights.

• •Enquiries: 3 years after our last contact with you, then we delete them.
• •If you hire us: project records are kept as long as the work and our legal duties require.
• •Hashed IP for spam limiting: about one hour.
• •Server logs: a short period, set by our hosting provider.
• •Staff sign-in cookie: 8 hours.

The companies listed above run data centres that may be outside Nepal, so your information may be processed in other countries. By sending the form you understand this. We choose providers that protect data with standard security measures.

You can ask us to tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, and you can ask us to stop using it for a purpose. We may need to keep some records where the law requires. We aim to follow Nepal’s privacy law, including the Privacy Act, 2075 (2018).

This website is for adults planning building work. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you think a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

We use HTTPS, protect the admin area with passwords and access levels, and collect as little as we can. No system is perfectly secure, so please keep sensitive personal details out of the form.

If we change how we handle your information, for example by adding analytics, we will update this page and the date at the top.
